Been meaning to do this for a long time anyway new rail turn up today so it started off being a bit of a bugger but ended up not a bad job .Now it's great getting in and out the van and all for 14 quid.View attachment 68649View attachment 68650

No Eric I could get inside of it with nuts lucky for me .

You could also use a nice stainless steel or chromed bathroom one they come in different lengths and fittings

Some vans have grab handles on the A Pillar on the passenger side. They can be very handy.
I had small grab handles on my VW Shuttle on the B Pillars on both side (double slider) which were good as well.

My new Grab handle arrived today

Ducatos have one over the cab doors but weak as piss, no good for getting in.

We have a ducato and would find grab handles on the A pillar very useful but I don't think you can if you have the remis blinds fitted,
Unless anyone knows any different ?

They had the wrong fitting on the ends fir me I did look at them.

My steps are better for getting in and out the van Paul .

I won't be getting one, I'd not trust the screws in lightweight ply, and I can't get to the back to use a bolt, no place on the A pillar as I too have Remis blinds, you could butcher the cover but I'd rather not.

I try to get her to get in on the drivers side as she can grab the steering wheel.

Kev the steps I fitted are way better to get in and out the van one of the best bits of kit I made

My van has a grab handle at the inside of entry door fitted on the left entry bulkhead, factory fitted , but my van is a CHAUSSON hee hee

No link sorry to say Kev as I made them .When I say made them my mate who deals with a fabrication firm had two tubes of 40mm pipe bent for me then I weldered the bracket on so instead of a 20in step up into cab it's a12in then a 8in so much better.
