satellite problems.

Just bought an Edison proton full hd sat receiver fta, DVBs2 for my motorhome.
Gone through set up and put it on blind set up , dish not picking anything up also tried Astra 28.
Everthing is wired to their set up instructions it just keeps searching for a sat.
Help no hair left.

Eric are you parked were there are no obstructions to the line of satellites and also level ?

no I am on a hill, but ever dish down the road all pointing towards houses slightly.
but will try somewhere level tomorrow.
ps, my sat is at the same level has the houses hightwise.

Check both F connectors from the dish. and make sure the inner coax and outer coax are not shortening out at the connectors , also make sure the connector at the dish Is not corroded as this is a common fault on all dishes
