Satnav recommended one please

Shall watch with interest as want to upgrade mine. Need one to put in the ole dimensions n weight being a tag

2021 Garmin Camper 780 works for us [upgraded models now available, incl larger screen sizes]. You can input the vehicle dimensions via Set Up Menu. We bought a Garmin BC40 Bluetooth rear view camera kit in March 2023 {£124.90 plus the cost of an AA Battery!] that links automatically [after initial Bluetooth pairing] at bottom of number plate viewing level to the Garmin, so no more peering through bike frames/around bike covers etc. The camera is detachable, so can be tucked in the driver's door pocket when parked up to keep it safe from prying eyes [I have to dig around in all the junk I carry to find it to use it!]

The BC40 has red/yellow/green distance markers on the viewing screen at roughly 2 feet intervals, so green leaves a 1.8m rear gap, and you can set the parallel parking lines perfect for parking bays] so that the camera view sees the kerb and our on street parking bay offside line perfectly. Better than footie VAR ... :ROFLMAO:

I can't really put my finger on it, the display is terrific and informative, but I've been a Garmin user for so long that I couldn't adapt, hence the offer

once you get used to a certain Satnav make it is tricky to change :) I am also a Garmin user (Camper 660) and don't really like to use anything else either.

If you are not wedded to a particular type like Oppy or I am, Google maps on phone/tablet or via Android Auto works well and you can likely have that setup inexpensively and have a tablet for general use as well (or use an existing one of course).

Another Garmin fan here. We have the 760LMTD (or somesuch) and it does the biz. You can enter the dimensions into it. When it finishes we'll probably just get the newer version.

I'm guessing as a fellow tagger you can input the dimensions ok?

Yes no problem. Weight too.
