Great Pics Barry, you spoilt the last two though!:Slightly_Smiling_Fa

Why is there no Dislick button on this forum?

That last one was my own private Aire I started in the French Alps so I got out my guitar and beer yet still we ended up with about four vans near us. The French obviously appreciate good music  or they just dont want to be alone. :frown:

Reading over the years all the wildcamping you do Barry, how do you get wifi?

I tend to keep the van out of my photos but I got just the corner in this one of Loch Carron at 08:35 in August. We had managed to find the coldest spot imaginable to overnight beside a narrow track between forestry plantations. Took about 15 minutes to clear the windscreen enough to drive away then within a few minutes found this much better spot.

By the time we got down to Loch Carron village there was only a little cloud left at the NE end of the Loch. Good breakfast provided by very pleasant folks at the Waterside cafe.

The van is behind me in this sunset taken at Bunchrew campsite near Inverness later that week.

iBoost directional antenna and 12v router from www.motorhomewifi.com although I struggled a bit this summer but I also tether my phone as a hot spot although I use it sparingly with a 4gb limit which thanks to the roaming charges being dropped I could use all summer in mainland Europe. I tend to just do most of my emailing or basic forum stuff just on the phone though as it uses much less data.

Just surprised in some of the remote places you stay at you get any type of signal because I always struggle!

I Dont always but I dont give up easily with the antenna and can spend an hour trying to hone in on a usable signal. The good thing about the roaming charges going though is that with vodafone at least its not restricted to one provider when roaming so even up in the mountains I often got a good phone signal if I Couldnt get wifi. In fact the only place I Can remember where I got nothing was right at the end of the Cirque de Troumouse in the Pyrenees where your literally surrounded by some of the biggest mountains in the range. Ive had usable signals off the iboost from several miles away line of sight. Often up in the mountains or across water can be beneficial for that.

Iv got an iboost which I use but I think I must give up to easily with it.I will try for longer next time we are
away in France.
I do find it good to pick up campsite wifi when they only have a free wifi point.

No we tend to use the van shower especially when there's free water, we found this place in the aire book, when we got there it was so warm and sunny we just stopped for two days, we loved it and must go back, as you have.

Next to the wee supermarket around 18’30 hrs they open the doors for the canal masters office for the boaters and if you pay 1*50 euros you can use the showers upstairs and toilet ,great hot showers ,normally a very nice girl there to get you to pay and sign the book ,really handy inho.esp when it’s hot!

On the forest road above Inverary, from the road it is possible to see Arran, Islay and Jura at the same time.
