Scotland distilleries

Just back from Islay. It now has 10 distilleries. Ardnahoe is the latest to open. We wild camped too. We receive the local paper - the Ileach. The locals, as on many of the islands, are getting upset about inconsiderate dumping of black water and rubbish, also not driving on single track roads correctly.

Knockdhu distillery outside Huntly has been the location of the Grampian DA section meet for the past couple of years. Tours, whisky tasting and a good shop selling whisky and gin - £19 - local shop in Huntly - £35.
If you're a member of C&CC meet in May 17th-19th.
Cheers,
Alan

Thankyou all for your help? as an update for anyone who comes across this post in the future, we made the trip? we have the britstop book & stayed at Glenturret distillery, lovely welcome & great tour. We stayed on a site in Fort William Lochy campsite, so we could visit Ben Nevis Distillery too? We also stayed at several pub car parks & all were very obliging letting us stay after a meal & a few bevvies. We also stayed at the Edinburgh Campsite for the easy bus route into Edinburgh.
Scotland is a beautiful country & we met some lovely people. We certainly expect to return??

Hello, you can stay at Glen Turret distillery in Crieff - home of the famous Grouse. It is a britstop so you need to either do a tour or like us visit the cafe and eat cake ?. We stayed at the New Year, tucked up behind a giant hedge in the coach park and then moved the van into the main carpark for breakfast as we weren’t sure which bit they preferred us to stay at. Great walks from the car park if you like to stretch your legs.
Hi yes we are Britstoppers too? a really good service?
