Security, are you being tracked?

Just read the newsletter that I receive from Comfort Insurance and think this is worth sharing. They are warning of incidences of trackers (size of 50p coin) being placed on motorhomes eg at motorway services. Enabling them to be tracked to less busy park ups or storage facility for theft. It also occurred to me that this could also apply to prestige motors if you have one. The article say you can set your phone to alert you if a unknown tracker is nearby. Checked mine and indeed you can. Android phone go to Settings, Safety and Emergency, and you will see unknown tracker alerts which should be enabled. If you get an alert there is further functionality to get the tracker to make a sound so that you can locate it. All very 007 I know but if it stops a theft.

I do not have the facility to check for trackers on my phone. Anyway, the only ones likely to need to track me are Cp Funeral Services.

I have the Apple AirTags hidden in my van cars and works vans with the speakers removed takes 5 minutes to remove the speaker so for me I can track all my vehicles cheaper and easier than having to pay a tracker company.

My insurance company insists I have a 24/7 monitored one fitted to the van.
They're not bothered about the Ferrari.

Worth noting that you have to have Bluetooth on all the time for this to work.

Well how about that.

My Android already had Tracker Alert enabled, had automatically tested a short while before I checked, with no alerts found.
