Forgot about this one 1990 " the smog monster"our race transporter which I used to use when not racing small b for basic front half was seating the rear took the bikes,. When they were offloaded a sheet of ply was placed between the wheel arches and storage boxes a double mattress was then placed on this, a baby belling cooker which consisted on a double ring grill and oven, sound system had two house stereo speakers a coffee percolator and genny.. Pulled it out of a scrap yard in Methven for £300 all it needed for an mot was a rear wheel brake cylinder. It ran for another three years before we sold it. Pic showing when the centre support bearing for the prop shaft gave up on the way to Donnington it was fine if we kept down to 30mph on the hard shoulder, raced on the Sunday then headed to a friends at Thrussington on wreak to do the repairs and head home Monday. 20230605_081758.jpg

Not 100% sure without checking the travel logs but I think it was Wissant.

He might be rich but bet he’s not had half as much pleasure as you’ve had out o that van Trev and he probably doesn’t know where the fuse box is or be able to fix anything where you know every nut and bolt of yours.👍

1961 Dormobile which took us all the way to Portugal. (but very slowly!
We lived near the Martin Walter factory in Folkestone where these were made. Bought this one in anout 1958/9. We had 2 more of these in subsequent years a green one and light blue until the mid 60's Furthest we went was Dubrovnik through Yugoslavia before they had metalled roads!

Our first van was a 1980 T25 air cooled VW, which was pimped to death and a real head turner! Pics of VW om my other drive at home.

Second MH, Dethleffs Globe Trotter. Cracking motor, but a tad tired being 1995 model.

Third and current, N+B Arto. This one is a keeper until I reach the grand old age of 70, because C class motor and medical required.

I've camped all my life, and still love it.

My first was a mountain tent, but can't find a single photo of it. After waking up in snow on Skye, Yvonne wanted something bigger. :(

She 'invited me' to get a larger tent, and so I did. This is us at Flower Meadow in Dorset (now a housing estate). We gave it away to a widow who wanted something to camp in with her grandchildren:

Then came a caravan that we dragged around Europe, an Avondale Perle Olympus. This is us in the Malvern Hills:

Then a motorhome, an AutoTrail Tracker. For us a fantastic, reliable, and comfortable van. Drove all over Europe in it, including Colditz.

Currently downsized to a panel van, an AutoTrail 635SE. This is us in the Ingram Valley in Northumberland:

Not certain about what next for reasons of Yvonne's health. Just have to wait and see. Off again in a few days time, so fingers crossed. 🤞
