Yes, on a mercator projection map for example, Greenland looks huge, whereas moved to the equator it’s actually much smaller. The map above is not a perfect representation, but is not far from correct. It’s interesting, well I thought so, that the Indian subcontinent will fit inside the arc of the Congo river.
