Can't comment as to whether bio tabs work, but my SOG unit extracts air extremely well, no odour whatsoever in the wetroom. Odour is all extracted to the exterior and in principle filtered, though filters are not always as effective as one might wish if near the outlet.
Is your SOG unit extractor fan working (audible when blade is opened)? If not, perhaps an electrical issue. Is the air extraction hose intact (no leaks) and is it properly fitted to both the cassette and the external outlet?

My SOG works very well but I didn’t think SOG had any overrun time. I think the Thetford version of SOG has an overrun period but SOG should shut of as soon as the blade is fully shut. Once the blade is shut the cassettte should be sealed off from the inside of the motorhome so if the pee small persists thereafter it is not the fault of the SOG.

The only time my SOG has worked less well is when the pipe that attaches to the cassette spout had split. It was not obvious at first but self amalgamating tape cured the issue very quickly when I spotted the problem.

All motorhomes should carry self amalgamating tape.

I'll check that out cheers.

Under my cassette there are two cavities which I think are to contain accidental spillages, might be worth checking they are dry if you have similar.

Thanks, checked that area always and clean cassette locker with disinfectant weekly.

We now keep after reading on here a squirty bottle with some liquid bio diluted. Every time we use the loo spray it around toilet bowl. Ron said it smells better on empty and it leaves a nice smell in toilet.
Can’t help you with sog but don’t park near us 🤣😂🙈
