Mine are wired in series and I am getting 82 volts out at 15.00 pm today . So I am very happy with my set up. ( 3 x 175w Panels ) 50A MPPT controller

What are you running Parallel or series ? and are you happy with its performance

(I have one 300W solar panel).

You beat me to it...... That's what I was going to say. :)

Clean mines rarely but do heavy coat the panel with rainex which makes the rain run off and appears to carry a lot of crud away with it

I have 2 x 150w panels in parallel going through a 250W Votronic dual MPPT controller and I am very happy with it so far. I don’t look at Watt output as amps seems more understandable to me so no idea what Watt output I get, I have seen 14 amps though and that wasn’t in our hottest weather.

If you wire in series, you’ll get a higher voltage but only the amperage of the lowest performing panel, so if one is in shade, or dirty, it will limit the performance of the other(s). In parallel this doesn’t happen but the voltage will be lower. My van (2x100) is in parallel (so I can put a boat on the roof and still get a decent output) and my house array is split into two to get around the shadow of the chimney masking some panels early on.
Rainex sounds like a good plan.

Without specifying the maximum allowable input voltage and input current of the regulator, there is little point icoparing the configuration of everyone's installation

Hopefully get a bit more effect abroad Charlie, a decent mppt and half decent panels should mean you get more from light rather than needing full sun. I have guessed at what I think should do us but won’t know until it’s winter. Can always grab a hookup every few days if we aren’t moving far else borrow your gennie :)
