Solar problem, help

I've disconnected the solar panel correctly, when I've reconnected the led load status on the controller isn't coming on, I've checked all fuses, disconnected then reconnected all the correct way as described, I've looked on manual and it just says clear the problem????? Any ideas? The controller is live and all connections are correct. It's a photonic universe controller

Sorry can't help Jen, I'm ignorant on solar... I'll leave now and let those who do know get you sorted! ;) xx

Have you got a model number for the controller, or a pic?
Are you using the 'Load' terminals?

I've totally disconnected, left it for a while then reconnected going from battery, now when I've disconnected before, as soon as I put battery wires in the orange led light comes on to show box is working, this is not happening, but yet all the cables are live, seems to me that the controller has blown somehow

Some have a built in fuse some don't , mine has got a built in one but not sure about yours , don't suppose it will do any harm to open it as it sounds like the controller has gone

Jen I'm not 100% on the details (sorry) but I know I've read there's an order to follow when connecting up a panel. I'm pretty sure it's battery to controller first, then controller to panel last. Presumably, there can be a problem if you do it in the wrong order but it sounds as though you got it right. I hope someone can help.

Just thought... maybe there's a 'reset' button hidden in one of those little pinholes that need a paperclip to reach?

I have done it correctly and disconnected correctly, I just can't work if out, it's obviously just broke inside somehow, because all the cables are live

Thanks Jen, I have done it right way, blooming electrics xx

Jen, you'll never have confidence in it, if you get it going. Your best bet is probably to replace it and use an MPPT controller to make better use of your solar panels
