Soundbar for Avtex TV ....

If it has a usb port and speaker out you can buy a b tooth unit which plugs in for about £3 of ebay, then buy a set of b tooth headphones for a tenner, sound is very good I can assure you, and you wont hear the rain, or females. (y)bluetooth a.pngbluetooth b.png

It's an option but don't want headphones :)

Better sound by far, you can also get a b tooth speaker bar.
you can - and most are (the Avtex one is. my Bowfell one is). But bluetooth speakers can be hit and miss when using with video - can get lipsync issues.

I have the avtex sound bar it attaches to the bottom of the Tv 24” the sound bar is the same size looks good attached to the TV and gives decent sound and you can control it from the tv remote. I can’t remember what I paid for it.

Moderen digi sets all have lipsync sometimes, thank heavens I'm not a watcher.

As the woofer.

And powering (at first the oe speakers) and now some secondhand Bose surround speakers I found.

I chucked out the Samsung soundbar from our home Samsung TV setup due to lip sync. Issues. It could be adjusted but was not right for everything so constant fiddling did my head in.
To be honest when you are as deaf as I am its subtitles that are most important.
Typically the best films on Amazon Prime and Netflix don't have them.
News and other live programs are so far out of sync. That they are unwatchable, and some of the errors on pre recorded stuff are hilarious

You would think with the available technology these days that subtitles would be spot on now, or as they would say "sublimes wood bespoke on new"

K

So far mine has been spot on with no synch problems except every now and then on YouTube but they are out of synch with or without the sound bar so not at my end.
I bought a new tv when we moved and matching sound bar not long after when I found my Sonos was scrap. My hearing has definitely gone off but massive difference between sound ar on or off, much fuller/richer sound on.
Saying that I am in the van most of the time so don’t get the benefit of it very often, much to big for my van at just over a metre across. Only downside I have had is it’s wireless technology is Bluetooth rather than wifi but for tv connection thats okay

I was watching a film this afternoon using Sky Go on the TV that is connected to the PC, with audio via HDMI. Then sent the sound to the Home Theatre system (so the left, right and centre speakers in this case) via the Digital-IO cable.
I noticed the sound on the Home Theatre was ever so so slightly behind the TV speakers but not noticably out with the mouth movements or other events :)
