Think it over charged..
Would it be because it was charging constantly for to long or because the battery was not good.. It is / Was an oldish leisure battery and only small.. 75ah..
Thanks..

The split charge relay simply connects the alternator to the leisure battery, the starter battery is permanently connected to the alternator so you could view the SCR as connecting the 2 batteries in parallel.View attachment 73685 I have one of these to charge my second battery, but after a 4.30 hour drive to Cornwall it fried the second battery..

Buy a loach lead carbon battery and not a so called les battery which are glorified starter batteries, some may have thicker plates inside but old hat these days.Bless...
Thanks for all your feedback...
Much appreciated and I will be going to get a new battery on pay day, plus put something in place to prevent over charging...
In my little tin tent I have put in a voltage display and a 80 amp trip fuse where I can see them while driving and I just turn power onto relay via trip fuse if voltage is low on leisure battery..
I just used what I had in my shed lol..
Thanks ever so again...
