It's a good idea to check and clean solar panels now and again.

Even leaf matter or bird crap can have a bad effect on the panel's performance.

I use the same unit. Very efficient and quiet. I fuel mine on a latte.

I noticed that he screwed the black corners onto the panel. Could they be glued on instead?

They are better screwed then if you have a problem they can easily be removed.
