STORM MARTA SPAIN &PORTUGAL

We have been on the south coast of Spain for the last 2 weeks, firstly near Motril and now east of Almeria. We haven't had the worst of it thankfully but have had 65mph winds and torrential rain. At the site near Motril one day they announced over the tannoy to stay in your units as it was so windy. The roads outside flooded and the site took over a day chainsawing down dangerous trees.

It's been better here but so windy. Everything has been sandblasted. The forecast is looking better as this week goes on so hopefully things will improve.

Yesterday started cool and wet but got steadily better by the afternoon. It was early 20's degrees, little wind and sunny near Almeria.

I'm hopeful that Storm. Marta was sensationalised by the media.. We were all going to die, ooh er!

It won't improve conditions up north, still suffering from the last Storms.

We're just outside North Alicante after running away from Andalusia. It's really weather roulette, yesterday we had a sunny day sightseeing Alicante. Came bac,k got chairs out, 5 minutes later lashing down.
But I have seen on a few Spain weather FB pages that explained the reasons for the weather and say this week it is getting better, its all to do with Atlantic storms making the gulf stream unstable.
This week is changeable, but settling by weekend...🤷🏻‍♂️
If I was booking again, I'd come over end of February for the 90 days.
