Suggestions please for Cornwall

We have decided to give the Foreign a miss this year and will try again next year when hopefully things will be more stable.
Going to spend the time touring Cornwall instead and would appreciate some suggestions please for places to visit.
We intend to take the tow car, so we can explore the otherwise inaccessible places. We will probably pick campsites where possible and stay for a few days, going out in the car.
Any advice or suggestions would be very welcome please.

Hi rog, water gate bay north coast, Pentewan sands south coast, or porth touring park! Dave stayed there who you parked next-door too on last rally, he said it had great beaches over the road and it had very good clean facilities, showers and washing machines and good access to all off Cornwall!.

Good price

Another vote for Pentewan Sands here.

Several very nice walks from site; right on beach; huge pitches; 3 places to eat/drink on site; 2 pubs in village next door; good on site shop with the best pasties I found on our recent pasty sampling tour in June; on bus route if you don't want to use the car; 4 mile cycle track adjacent (no cars); big ASDA 4 miles up the road; 2 miles from Mevagissey.

It's our 'go to' site in Cornwall.

That sounds REALLY good, thanks for that!

No probs.

If you want to be close to a water tap and are not fussed being close to the beach (more expensive pitches are right on the beach) then go for pitch A8 or A9 as there is a tap between them. We always use either of those pitches: close enough to ablutions block and shops etc yet far enough away IYKWIM :)

There are obviously other taps but I'm not sure where they are.

That sounds marvellous, but won’t be heading down your way until August 31st, when the Stratford Meet ends.
But thanks for the suggestion 👍

We used to stop at Bay View campsite on the outskirts of Looe stunning views not sure on price these days but you have the seaside town of Looe and the monkey sanctuary for days out.
