Surprised at train ticket price!

Yes, Tes will come to meets in it as it is heavier and has a bigger footprint than her Land Rover. We will use it to pull our stuck motorhomes.

Think I’ll try that one on Christine lol it’s incase the mh gets stuck darling lol

Pity we could not have sorted something out at the Burtonwood meet , Blackburn is only half hour away from the meet

Does anyone know what key combinations on an iPad result in symbols instead of the letter you ‘think’ you are typing as it may be useful when I want said symbol? I can see the @ symbol greyed ou above the a but I have to press the numbers key to change layout to get it and I am not doing that.
Is it a new iPad? Stroke the key down to get the number or symbol in grey - hope you can understand what I am trying to explain? It has taken a bit of getting used to I still catch myself using the .?123 button!

No, holding doesn’t to it although some keys offer letters for different languages if held

That’s it ha ha, just has to be the right length and angle of the stroke. Jeez I thought I was imagining it except for seeing typos after I had posted :)

Thanks very much :)

I'm glad it was the right answer, it's not often I can answer computer or technical related stuff!

I did some research before finally deciding on the Range Rover Sport.
In conversations with people since buying the car, I have had a few opinions that seem to be repeated. They are:

It is not a proper off-road and can not do what a (Discovery / Defender / Range Rover) can do.
It is not a sports vehicle, it is a big car.
It will drink fuel, and damage the environment.

The truth is that:

It is very capable off road.
Although the model I have is 288BHP (which is a lot) it is a sporty car,
It gets similar MPG (37) to most estate cars.

Here is a video from top gear:

We were going to the Birmingham Motorhome show a couple of years ago and went by train, prebooked seats in second economy all taken from London to B/ham, so I looked for upgrade to first class, £12 each way Total price ,first class, for whole trip , and high speed from Dover Javelin, that is £60 each return by itself.
Best bargain I ever had breakfast on the Virgin, free paper, and able to look through the passage to the cattle class packed like sardines , standing.
There were four in the entire coach. Conductor was offering upgrades to the other coach passengersbut nobody took them up for a fiver

You could always fit an A frame on the Hymer think you could pull a house with that car we will get to test it at the frog as long as terry comes

I went to collect the car today and my train ticket happiness reached a new level.

Why?

Because my fare also included:

Complimentary tea & coffee.
Fruit juices, cans of fizzy pop and bottles of water.
Alcoholic drinks, wine, G&T, beer, etc.
Snacks cart, crisps, cookies, fruit, pretzels, nuts and other treats.
Sandwichs, fajitas, salads.
And a full lunch menu.

I am absolutely astounded that all this only cost £31!

id say you got a mighty good bargain there with train ticket.....especially with all those extras...........
