I like real ales but nothing too hoppy. Am very partial to an Old Peculiar and you can't beat a well looked after Marston's Pedigree I think...

The pub I use in Ciren when going out occasionally was a Brains pub so did a nice Rev James however it recently got sold to Butcombe Breweries so their Original is now my local 'session' beer. It's growing on me...

When abroad I just buy the cheapest Eurofizz I can get my hands on as I am not partial to lager at all. Will drink Bruin Beer/Donkl Beer or equivalent when I can find it...

Well the cocktails are going down nice. I had a guitar session for a few hours and produced a Punk Rock track which was so loud the windows nearly fell out but the plug was pretty much pulled by Mrs D who seemed to object to me making a right old royal racket while necking size large glasses of my version of Pineapple White Russians. No sense of humour some people.

The Leffe Rituel is still sat there egging me on to drink it but I must resist. Have to save it for Christmas. :tongue:

Good to see some German stuff on there that I would probably like and a few ciders. This is my issue with most pubs, they might have a good choice of "ales" but if you want anything else its normally Stella or even worse stuff like Fosters or Carling. Some good stuff on that list.

Beer heaven if your ever visiting southport head for the tap and bottles bar you would have to be sober to actually count how many beers they stock I went last Saturday you can even buy a third of a pint which is good being that some are 9%

Izwozral's post reminds me of a pub I used to visit when I lived in Cambridgeshire, The Engineers Arms at Henlow.

It doesn't look much from the outside but it's trick was to sell a tray of 6x 1/3 pints served on a triangular tray, chosen from a board of 20 fine ales. That's, say, 18 different decent beers!!!

Just down the road is Champneys Health Farm, and various famous celebrities have been seen drinking there.

The Red Lion in Cricklade near where I live still sell real ales by the 1/3 on a tray of three. They normally have around 8 or so to choose from and let you sample for free too.
