That’s on the cliffs above Folkestone it used to have like a large Reed in the mouthpiece that you bow into and it made a noise but that has long since broken.

The listening aid is at the start of the cliff walk at the eastern end of Folkestone, Kent.
I could hear conversations in France quite clearly.
It's amazing how quickly technology marches on.

It seems this was duff info from the old local lady when we enquired was it just art or did it have a purpose clearly a pensioner with a sense of humour or fed up of tourists asking stupid questions ??
