We have been in France for a while now, mainly the house and DIY. Left the village enroute to Italy yesterday 25/6. Stopped on motorway aire at Cressanges for the night. Lovely aire with lots of space away from the commercial trucks.

Early start this morning, pit stop and pic take from the MW aire overlooking Lac de Sylans, check out the abandoned ice factory and the roads setup left of image, reminded me of Killiecrankie pass…..not 😂

Now parked on the aire at Lake Annecy, we will have a dander down after a rest from todays driving.

The real estate around here is something else, stunning, as is the scenery.

A slight nav error, we nearly ended up in Switzerland 🇨🇭🫢. A few days exploring Annecy and the lake, then onwards to Italy destination of Acqui Terme 👍

Enjoy your trip Terry, don't be bringing any Scottish dampness further south 😎, we're currently just a few miles south of you between Gallipoli and Taranto 😂.

Scottish weather has been incredible over the last few weeks. I know this from viewing security cams at the house.
Enjoy your tour. 👍

We love Annecy, it's so friendly and clean.

I wonder if these guys are still playing in Place de l'Hotel de ville. I bought their DVD for €5 because I'm fascinated by differing types of ethnic music.

I’ll have a look on the map for the area of your pic, although it does look like the area next to lake and close to the footbridge?

Sorry for the delay. We are helping our son moving into this forever home near Battle, and I cannot believe how much he has taken on.

From memory although I gave the location I did, the group were nearer to Quai Napoleon III. It was pumping out, so if they are there, you'll hear them. 🙂

Busy busy here today, roads are heaving, so is the town of Annecy. Some kind of holiday.

Highlight of today was our return to the aire. A Pilote owner had parked up over the area to dump grey and black waste, fill with freshwater point. Police arrived and €130 ticket given, they told another camper car owner on the aire, they would return in a couple of hours and is camper still there, it would be towed.

A short while later a young couple with two young kids appeared to find the issued ticket, wiper blades bent, and someone had done something to the high level wing mirrors 😂

Karma for being such a selfish Richard Head.

Hope the guilty party can be identified and fined; no reason for criminal damage.

He was ticketed, apparently tensions were high when folks looking to grey dump and fill with water could not do so because of this Richards selfish act. Apparently and anecdotal, one guy wanted to empty his cassette contents over the offenders windscreen.

Bottom line is, the Pilote owner knew what he was doing was wrong, and he paid the price after being issued with a ticket by the police.

I meant the party responsible for the criminal damage to the wiper blades and possibly wing mirrors.

Long day, I realised this after I posted my reply. Mirrors adjustment was moved from the drivers norm.

While I don’t condone what was done, what the driver did by rendering the dump area out of bounds for everyone wanting to use the facility, was sheer selfishness. There is no other other aire nearby, so no plan B.

Maybe the owner will think twice before doing the same again, then going up town for a jolly.
