The Sevel handbrake!

I have just replaced a few parts of my Citroen Relay handbrake, how it passed its last MOT is quite frankly beyond me. It was in terrible condition, but is now all done. The job is quite straight forward, but with lots of corroded bits a bit messy. I also had to buy a puller as the nearside hub refused to come off, I also found that the bearing was shot.

Mine was the same ....until I had a binding rear brake ...
Replacement rear cylinders and shoes ...
Cleaned up the inside of the drums .
Auto adjusters slackened off and then readjusted and new shoes bedded in .

MOT tester was shocked at the braking effort it managed on the rollers...
Says they are usually very poor for the weight of van.

Mine is working pretty good now, I was quite fussy about doing the adjustment and I will readjust after a couple of weeks when it's all bedded in.🪛🔧🔨
