Hi all. Last week I parked my van up for a couple of days I had some perishables in the fridge so I put it onto gas. 2 days later I went back and the control panel was flashing I have tried to select another source but it just keeps flashing. I realised I was parked on a slope and I wounded if this is why it shut the gas off, does anybody know if there’s a reset button or something?. Regards dogsbarker.

No, a slope won't make the error light flash. There is a problem with the gas. Perhaps it has run out or is turned off, or there is some other reason why it failed to light or to stay lit.

The trouble is it’s not only the gas it’s the battery and hookup as well. I think I need to get it looked at. Thanking you.

I met someone last night who had a Thetford auto fridge in a rental motorhome and had a problem with the fridge control panel flashing; the solution in his case was to select gas (possibly unnecessary, but I felt that disbling Auto ruled out one source of problem), turn the fridge off and then turn it on again. It then worked happily on gas even when Auto was reselected.

When I first got my motorhome, I read the instructions for all the built in appliances, and those for the fridge specifically said to make sure the van is on level ground, or as level as possible. I would suggest you just move the van to a more level area, then the flame should re-ignite automatically.

Hi I've got a automatic electrolux rm 64051 fridge and over the last two years I've had it in and out of my van through the red light flashing and the next time it won't be going back i'll go and by a manual fridge

I've had the same problem a couple of times with my Thetford N3150. It kept looking for 240v (which wasn't attached) and ignored gas which was turned on.

Here's what worked for me -
I had 1 last go at rebooting from the display panel. I noticed the ghost of the battery sign n thought I should be able to select the other, gas, symbol if I could see it, but how?
  • Turns out it's the square symbol on the display itself not the square on/off button to the left of that. That toggles thro the 3 options and I was then able to press the gas symbol - and up it fired!
