Things to do in Ireland

Liz suggested asking you clever peeps the above question.

We're going hopefully for 3-4 weeks to get better value out of the ferry fare.

We just did the WAW mostly last time so want to do a bit more.

I'm taking my mobility Scooter, but neither of us wants steps if we can avoid them or anything too steep as the scooter is a lightweight folding one so above 6 degrees is out.

We both like architecture, Liz is a garden freak, and I'm more mechanically minded, so car or air museum-type stuff.

We're open to suggestions of course as I can't think of stuff I'm not aware of.

We're off in approx two weeks and will be south and north depending on time.

Just one reply.
www.motorhomecraic.ei.
Meet some off the locals, there.
They love showing you the ropes.
But @trevskoda Is the chap.
He made our 2 visits spectacular. Beyond the call of duty.
Lovely family.

Choose a definite destination, IE, Jonnie Foxs pub, , for example....not far from the ferry

North our South, it will be no trouble.
L.PG, was a problem, 5 years ago..
Bet it's better organised now ?

We liked London Derry you can walk along the city walls that have actors playing out differing parts from history and the history of the city from both sides some sad some funny but very interesting and educational. You could do it on your wee trolly.

Lots up north, dunree is a must and the glenveagh nat park & house, if you want a quiet one try doe castle.
If you can walk a bit the dunree fort is ok as a 20ft walk over the bridge to the museum and underground walk past the magazen, jellico set sail for scapaflow from here with the british fleet, lennan is futhe up the coast but on private land, you could look but no mission of walking in.
Me id go for the n park, 40ft from c park all flat to main reception and dinning hall, 20 ft to mini bus which runs you to the castle house, and coffee shop.
A wee bit of walking round the house but not much and most on one level, anything else just ask and i will help if i can.
Forgot this ones easy glencolmkill folk village, carpark just across the rd, good we cafe and gift shop.dunree a.pngdunree b.pngdunree c.pngfolk village a.pngfolk village.png

The Ring of Kerry has come up, apparently in the Motorhome we have to go ANTI clockwise and follow the busses as it's a narrow road, is this the case?

I know most of the parking spots up top, galway and salthill dont want vans and have low hight restrictions, donegal is best for wilding by miles.
Get your ass up here big softie.
Mind you the open season is about to end soon, many attractions will be clossed, but the good spots are ok 24/7.strove l house a.pngDonegal town.pngkennego.png

The Motorhomeparkingireland app is now renamed Motorhome parking locations (light blue logo), and motorhomecraic forum is also rebranded as Motorhome parking locations.

Davy
I checked my apps and I already have Motorhome Parking Ireland, so up graded it and I'm still waiting for the maps to load, I have emailed them but no response. I'll give them till tonight then I'll go for a refund from Google Play.

I deleted the craic as both were acting up the new blue one isn't as good as I remember Craic being.

Dunno if I have wasted the upgrade money and can't see any reference to it on Google play or in the app.

WC isn't much good either in the south, hardly any around the coast, shame we can't zoom out in the WC app to see POIs zoomed in is a bit too restrictive for an overview of the best areas, I'll try a download and open it in Google maps.

Hmm, that's disappointing, why so little for Ireland is no one posting POIs or is there another reason?

Oddly I just downloaded those last night, not had much chance to look at them yet.
