Tom Tom sat nav knackered up

Only me and Baz that I know have them but for me the Aguri 720 is brilliant. I only use it to set a destination and will turn off/pick up as I feel like it. I know it will do a lot more than I ever ask of it but I got it for peace of mind for low bridges and any weight restrictions (although 8 sometimes ignore the weight restrictions).

Each to their own though and variety is the spice of life :)

I used to use CoPilot a lot, but Google maps are just soo good now and if you download the area it's valid for 12 months so can even use zero data, but obviously, you don't get the very useful traffic updates.

I use it all the time including 9 days away last week and it has only used 95mb of data since 18th of February

I have a "MEANDER"as we call it, its a map book and all the pages have different coloured roads on them, it's a matter of deciding where we are going, pick a coloured road and follow it🙄👍
All roads lead somewhere and meanders are dirt cheap 🤣🤣
'Meander' is 'My wife and I', so, 'dirt cheap' it most certainly is not ... 🤭

These days
I would go gor a 7 in tablet.
Then a suitable app with downloaded maps free or cheap ?
Also install organic maps and pois
Tetherimg to your phone as needed.
When driving portrait orientation suits me best.
When planning and using maps landscape mode.
Google maps uses data as it is live.
Organic maps ..download on home wifi.
As your vehicle is quite big you may even lile a 10in tablet
Nice to know I'm not the only one. I use an 8" Lenova with built in GPS. It's accurate to within a meter. I have Copilot App and also IGO Nextgen. Both work very well. You can also use the tablet as an Ebook and surf the net so far better than dedicated.

I started using my Samsung Tab A last time away, I used POIs from WC, the National trust app which will both link into Google maps it doesn't seem to use very much data at all really, (although I have a 24/24 three sim in it too) I had downloaded the area I needed, it also gets used to download Netflix stuff too.

Hi Gordon, if you have a decent tablet Co-Pilot is pretty good, the maps are downloadable so you don't need to rely on the internet for them to work. I'm pretty sure that Dave and Adele use it without any problems.

Del
A Swiss bloke recommended Sygic to me a few days ago. I’d try it but I don’t think I’ve enough go on my iPad.
I assume the Co-Pilot would eat a lot of GB as well.

My copilot takes up 3.83gb but I have 128gb plus 128gb so no problem
