Towing Car & 'A' Frame

If anyone hears of a towcar, complete with 'A' frame can you let us know please. We have to be able to get an electric buggy in the back though. Thanks. Thea

Different names different forums it catches you of guard when it asks for a name when setting up so just put first thing that comes into my head. I’ve actually used Richard head on occasions ?

It looked a good buy, I have bought a few things from there but I don't join in with any of the chats, my username was from my first two dogs so everyone thinks I am called Bob, I tow a Fiat Panda, it does give a few different options

Thanks folks, any info appreciated. We're still using 'Aggie' as our towcar the now but we'd like to update her. Cheers

Didn’t think u could tow on a frame any distance these days but saw one yday.
or is it different in Spain!!!!

Saw quite a few Froggies ...... oops sorry ....... French motorhomes towing cars with A-Frames and the back end of last year making their way down to Spain.

And a lot of our police giving out fines to my son done 3 last week 100 euros and told them they cant use them here

That`s what i thought and was a little confused when they said where they were heading.

My French and their English wasn`t good enough to go into details so i didn`t say anything else.

All i can tell you is what my son said you can not tow them here in Spain I dont know about the UK

I have read that Italian Police can get sniffy about them too.

I towed on an A Frame for several years but gave it up because of the faffing around with it. Now carry a scooter which better suits our needs but I know that’s not for everyone.

Seems like the UK maybe doing a rethink on Aframe towing and removing this guidance which is what you need to use one abroad as they need to be legal in your country of residence to enable use in other countries

Saw one in Spain the other day being towed by Spanish Reg van!!!

You might have seen an A-frame in use in Spain but they are definitely illegal though some get away with it - for a while.
Look at N332.com - a website run by the Guardia Civil Traffco in Torrevieja. It's in English.
There you will find out the Law in Spain - on A-frames and also about Parking vs Camping.
I live in Spain, drive a motorhome and tow a Smartcar - but on a trailer.
