The idea is that you hide the tracker so they won't find it. And perhaps hide the second one even better.
The thing about a tracker is that it doesn't stop the vehicle being stolen. It helps you know it has been stolen and helps you get it back.
Pedal locks and the like do work, but they're a lot of hassle every day.
They make you a victim of crime every time you drive the vehicle.

They can easy be found in seconds as I said with a tool on ebay, then they rip it out and turf away, then they drive the van to a steel container which is a faraday cage and leave it for a few days before stripping it, good insurance is the best tool.

The RF signal seems to manage to get out of a faraday cage, hence the outfit I recommended.

Wow, their website is a mess! It does say a new website is coming soon, though.

I note that they make the usual dishonest claims. They make out that their trackers work in some sort of secret stealth mode (which is an option on just about any tracker I've ever seen) and imply that the "GSM Timing Advance" is a unique feature (every tracker I've seen uses that as a fallback if it's not able to get a GPS fix).

They mention having a RF radio beacon - that's not normal for most trackers (or compatible with stealth mode), and would be a benefit. That does depend on how many police forces have access to their directional receivers. The Tracker ones look like four mobile phone aerials on a police car, and you see them quite often. I wonder how the Automatrics system differs.

When I had a Tracker tracker, it included track and guard. If the vehicle moved without disabling the tracker, they phoned you (that bit worked well*). If the vehicle was stolen (it never was) they'd switch the beacon on and track it, then send a guard to babysit until it could be recovered.
*This happened a few times: when on breakdown trucks, on ferries and once when the Tracker immobiliser went faulty.

If your vehicle gets stolen Automatrics send someone out with the rf tracker whatever it’s called starting at last known location from the tracker. I think it’s only one/some of the Southern counties police forces have their own gear but could be wrong. It’s does tell you somewhere but as you have found the website is not friendly and the reason why I didn’t link it lol

Just because there is a tool sold on ebay doesn't mean it works. See https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/363092095933 for an example. Hundreds of people have bought these. They do nothing at all.

A tracker locates itself by default using GPS which is a passive receiver that can't be detected. Not by anything.

Then (by default) it reports its position using GPRS or SMS. You can detect this transmission quite easily, but trackers can be (and often are) set up to only report when they move and/or on a fairly infrequent schedule. So you'd need to be searching for it when it sends an update.

If it can't get GPS fix, it will try to use GSM positioning, which does involve brief transmission: to a detector it would be just like a mobile phone registering.

They don't hold a connection open all the time. They don't transmit for very long.

Of course, if you put the tracker in a faraday cage, it won't transmit at all, because the way that GSM works is that they need to detect an incoming control channel before they will transmit.
