Can I ask: the site you stay on at Benidorm, do you think it could accommodate our MH at 8.7m in length?

Hi,,,,
We stay in Beni at:- Camping Villasol if u have a lookie on the Tinternet & yes they accept longer motorhomes & tag axle van,s u just tell them the length on booking ,,,, The site does NOT accept Dogs tho ,,,, Also just up the road is Camping El-Raco which is a Dog friendly site ,,,

Was that the site that was on the Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun programme?

Is it far into Benidorm itself? Is there a bus stop nearby?

Nnnnnnnnnoooooo ,,,,, The site on Bargain loving Brits was ( Villamar ) which is about a half mile away on the outskirts of town ,,,

Ah OK - walkable to Benidorm or nearby bus stop?

Also can I ask what the campsite next to it - Camping la torreta - looks like to you as I assume you've passed it once or twice?

We stayed there for a couple of nights a few years ago. We had a sunny pitch so it was quite hot even in February. We thought it was a bit expensive for what we got; but to be fair, I imagine they are all pretty similar to each other and it was Benidorm after all ... Maybe there would be better rates for longer stays.

Some electricity was included but over that amount you paid extra. The pitch was ok, not massive but not too small, not overlooked by anyone. It was in a good location, easy to walk down to the beach and there was a supermarket and restaurants etc all close by. Apparently the scenes for the hairdresser salon in the sitcom were shot very close by, but we never saw the place. I'd go back if I wanted to visit again*, navigating to the site was easy enough and it was worth the cost for the location.

*I'm not sure I actually would go back to Benidorm unless I had a reason to, it wasn't a great place for the dog.

Thanks Jo

Was it an easy walk into Benidorm from there?

Its a 15min walk to centre of Beni & Levante Beach ,,,, Bars are a 5min walk or site has a Shop & a bar with a happy hour evey day from 4.00pm to 5.00pm,,,,, €1 a pint ,,,,
If u want to go to The Old Town its 20min walk or the Number 10 bus takes u to the Old Town or the other way to Albir & Altea for € 1.55 whether u get off in one stop or 20 stops at that set price ,,, 👍,,,

Yes, very easy as I remember. It probably took about 10 to 15 minutes to get to the promenade. A lot of people hire the mobility buggies though, they are extremely popular and you can get double buggies for couples.

That's a lot less than we paid, we hadn't booked though and only stayed a couple of nights. If it's of any help, I will have a note in my notebook, so if anyone really wants to know I can check.

I would have a note of it on my phone, which is much easier to refer to. Until I turned my phone into a brick in late October ... Almost all of my notes were backed up to Google [though I could have sworn that I had turned the option off!], but I lost 3 months of photos [because I'd been using a non-Google App!]

Glad u enjoyed 2cv,,,, The riders are so dedicated ,,, Next Fri we are off to Portsmouth for the boat to Santander & r meeting up with Frankie at the Alpine F1 HQ just outside Oxford for a mooch round 😁 ,,,,

We will likely head up to Scotland 3-4 times for an undetermined length, Ireland at least once, off around Norwich or Wales next Saturday, maybe more, a lot depends on my fitness, the van could even be up for sale in a few weeks.
