Hi please could you suggest what to try with the problem.
From cold....Boiler set to 60 deg water only. Fan runs, speeds up then hear whoosh as it lights successfully. Amber light and green light on. Then goes silent. Lights stay the same but not actually heating water.

From cold... boiler set to heating plus water 60 deg... boiler fires longer gets some hot water but not much and no where near 60.....RED light . Attempts to restart result in a short run and Red light.

Pretty sure the red light is a gas problem, the gas shuts itself down or lack of gas.

Thanks for reply. Some Google searches seem to point to gas. All my other gas appliances are ok and gas bottles are not empty.

I had a problem with a red light on, on inspection I found that one of the hoses carrying hot air to the vents had come adrift from the boiler, probably not connected but worth a look.

Sounds like the vent might have some debris blocking it, so gas not burning properly, try blowing any cr*p out, it worked for us.

What model of boiler? Does it work on Electric? I've read that the red light means a fault and that the boiler flashes a combination of lights so you can look up the fault code.

Have you done a system reset?
Sometimes this is all that is at fault and it doesn't cost anything to do?

Boiler is gas only not electric. Truma combi 4xx. Thank for advice so far. Will investigate venting tomorrow

I found info pointing to regulator issue but as cooker burners all fine I don't think it is my issue

After working out the flash code from PCB LEDs it pointed the finger to new PCB ....several £100 . However...Really easy fix thanks to Halleys Caravans Burnhouse Scotland. Helpful technician said to try cleaning the blades of the very small PCB cooling fan. This is located under a pop off panel on left side. Cleaned and working a treat !!!

The flash code short three long and then short long long short suggested change PCB due to slow fan motor detected. Cleaning fan speeded up motor and all was well...see my earlier post.
So clean everything before going for expensive diagnostics and parts !

Thanks for the update. I recently used Halleys to fit new electric elements to my Truma and found them to be first rate.
