Prices go up by approx. 5% today in the UK so don't forget to submit your meter readings for gas and/or electricity today.

I guess you may not need to do this with smart meters though?

Just giving myself a 5% discount by charging the car before submitting the reading.

Our smart meter sent the details through at 12:15am. It looks to have been accurate though. I have a copy of then readings I took before I got drunk! They seem to match up. (allowing for being up late!) But then, we have always had a good deal with Octopus, never a problem and very helpful.

I had similar with smart meters, two year later, both replaced and functioning as they should, for now.

Chase up your supplier, cancel your DD (pay on receipt by credit card) your provider will soon be in touch, then tell them DD will resume after your smart meters are working as they should.

My in house display works but smart meter won't talk to energy company,

That is weird, while electric meter was connected and reading taken remotely, Gas meter would not speak to electric meter, hence no gas reading taken remotely. IHD, while shown connected, gave out no data for gas or electric. More calls and chasing by me, they are able to work the magic remotely, which they did with gas meter, once gas was able to link with electric, IHD came to life and works as it should.

Can I ask who is your provider?
