Vacuum pump for a 1998 Peugeot Boxer

A friend's MH is based on a 1998 Peugeot Boxer. The brake vacuum pump is knackered. All the garages, parts places we have tried say it's too old and discontinued.

Does anyone know of a supplier of old engine stuff, second hand is fine as long as it works!

Do an internet search on 'used car parts'. You will find a number of sites whereby you enter your vehicle details, requirements and email. Then any breakers from around the country will contact you if they have the part. One example is https://www.1stchoice.co.uk/ . Another is https://www.partsgateway.co.uk but there are others.

Thanks, we have tried a couple of those, but no response so far.
We'll have to keep looking. Found someone in Spain that looked to be the right part, but it was for a 2.0l engine not the 2.4l that we need

My friend has been contacted by "Cambridge Classic Spares" saying that they have the correct part and asking for money (£249) upfront.

Friend is slightly wary. Has anyone heard of this supplier?

We checked the post code on Google earth. It looks like a yard full of old motorhomes and campers.
So it's quite likely that he does have the required part

I used Autodoc last summer for a replacement wing mirror (needed one for a LHD vehicle); fulfilment (particularly preparation for despatch) was slightly slower than anticipated and I needed it urgently for a foreign trip, but overall service and quality were fine.
