Just looked at the SFT200 which is £33 on Amazon at the moment. Daft question but I assume the MU5001 retains the sim for connectivity?Good news is that if you open the Web GUI in Firefox and install the "ZTE-MU5001-HACK" extension it reveals a "secret" menu with the VPN settings, the bad news is that it only supports the PPTP and L2TP protocols which are outdated and not supported by any of the main VPN providers
My MU5001 has an Ethernet port so I turned it's Wi-Fi off and connected it to the WAN port of a GL.iNet GL-SFT1200 (Opal) which uses Wireguard and OpenVPN which are both supported by all the main providers and dead easy to set up, the GL.iNet GL-MT3000 (Beryl AX) which has a bit faster Wi-Fi and WAN port speeds but I find the GL.iNet GL-SFT1200 (Opal) fast enough for me and it's cheaper
Kind regards,
