Water pressure help

Can't get the wattsamacallit into the thingymajig. Is there a technique please? It won't turn or do anything and water very low. British gas may need to be called. Male with muscle neighbour is out. Any tips? Thanks

I find that lubrication usually helps.

Thank you but muscle was what was needed and some acquired. A much happier boiler as a result
