Anyone else having problems with our sister website? It is taking an eternity to load if it does at all,all other websites are fine.

Sounds like it's my end then,I'll try switching the laptop off and on again.lol

Try clearing the browser cache Steve - Mr Google will show you how if needed.

Yes I think it is browser related Chris,I'm using firefox but when I try chrome it's fine, that mr google is one smart cookie. Will report on how I go on.

An update on this problem. It turned out to be a false positive network attack being picked up by my Bullguard internet security programme.I did contact their helpline but they weren't much help, they told me to update the Bullguard programme but it was already up to date.

I've solved it for now by disabling the Bullguard firewall and enabling the windows defender firewall,so far so good.I think I will be looking for a new anti virus programme when this one expires in a couple of months.

I know everyone has their favourites and loyalties when it comes to antivirus software but you can't beat Sophos Home IMHO. I had the brilliant professional version looking after all my servers when I was working and now Sophos have brought out a free home version that you can use on multiple and cross-platform PCs, plus apps for Android and Apple phones, etc. Sophos works unobtrusively in the background, without constant reminders to buy a different version and with no drain on performance like some of the bloated packages you pay for.

I'm probably teaching my Grandpa to suck eggs but for those who don't know, it's important to uninstall one before installing another. Having two antivirus programs on a device will cause no end of issues!
