It's been a beautiful start to the morning, with a light westerley and 20° high.

The Met Office suggests oncoming thundery showers for the rest of the day, but I'm darned if I'm sitting indoors just waiting, and am off out to the fields to meet up with friends.

East Sussex could do with a deluge as the grass remains dry and brown and the water butts are half empty.
