Dry overnight in Peterborough, but expecting rain as we head east

It's just 1°C and drizzling in Hertfordshire with very little air movement.
So I've made some sourdough bread and spiced lentil, carrot and tomato soup. I'll be taking it over to Leigh-on-Sea today with the intention of cheering up a small group of the locals.

3 degrees and dry for now. Showers forecast today then storm Jorge for the weekend.

I'm obviously well behind everyone here (it happens increasingly frequently).

No rain for over 4 weeks.
Management put 2 washer loads on , using cheap, overnight electric.
This morning dawned cloudy.
Showers now forecast.
Job done.

We've had plenty of rain fall on Hertfordshire over the past 24 hours.
Right now it's brightening considerably, there's a gentle breeze and the temperature is 5°C.
Hail showers are predicted for a couple of hours this afternoon followed by clearing skies and sunshine.

'orrible weather in Norfolk, so we' em back in CTL. Wet and gusty trip home
Might have a trip into pasty land next week.

Been a nice day here so had a drive into Derby for a wander round .Back at the cottage and put the wood burning stove on lovely and cosy.
