Blue start but more cloud around and 6 degrees. Yesterday’s bike ride via the River Weaver, quiet, no boats, no fishermen ...............

Early on in Hertfordshire it was bright and sunny but now the cloud is building, the air is stirring and it's about 8°C. Without the sun it feels a lot cooler than the past few days and later this afternoon the wind is predicted to be considerably stronger with the air coming from a more northerly direction.
So today's outdoor exercise will be taken this morning.
I'm delighted to report that I've finished clearing moss from the roof on the north side of the house. I really didn't enjoy that!

Grey and the forecast says it should be drizzling now.
I've just watered the flowerpots and can see the rain.. 3 miles away, obscuring the top of Fig Mountain

One of those deceptive mornings ........ started clear blue .........then the cloud started rolling in from the north.... now sunny intervals ....but a perishing north wind which is picking up ...... showing 5 degrees but it feels sub zero out there .... back in early for coffee

This morning I left from the front door of the house for a bit of exercise on the Brompton.

Then it blew on me........................that rocked me!
Then it snowed on me...................that surprised me!
Then it hailed on me......................that hurt me!
Then it rained on me......................that wet me!
Then it shone on me......................that dried me!

Who could ever be bored by the English weather?

A couple of snow flurries descended on Hertfordshire earlier - which was attractive but unexpected.
It's chilly at 4°C right now but the wind has virtually disappeared and the sky seems to be brightening.
So it'll be some outside jobs this morning and some statutory exercise off site this afternoon.

It was only 8 degrees at sunup. Forecast is for rain to start soon and continue for the next 20 hours .
A gentle 15 mm, would be most appreciated

As a precaution we set off for a quick walk along the Hunter's paths.
Did the hilly, 1½ miles circuit in 30 minutes..
A month ago it took us. 50 minutes

By the time this palaver is over, we'll be so fit.!
Mind you, we'll look like a pair of Yetis
