Minus 1 degree at present in the sun, with a forecast high of 3 degrees before the return of 'pure dead Baltic' temperatures this afternoon

Late on parade, again.

It has been a very cold where the temperature hovered around freezing all day, and everyone walked around wrapped up to the nines. I even lit the log burner around lunch time to keep Yvonne warm.

I suspect that it'll be even colder tomorrow, but it'll kill off all those nasty germs.

And for those of us who think that syntax doesn't matter, there is a world of difference between a Yellow Warning of snow, and a Warning of Yellow Snow ...

Temperature has risen to zero in a weak sun. Danger of 3 degrees by lunchtime before a continual slide in the temperature to minus 2 by 10pm. Don't want to contemplate overnight temperatures ...

Crazy time here.
After the midweek storms, we had a lovely mild day . G& T on the Mezzanine.
Checking the forecast at 6pm and it was calm and dry.
Big wind blew in and rechecked at 7.30.. No change.
Checked again at 8.
Gales and 29 mm of deluge to last all night..
AND IT DID.
Our poor guest, has arrived with the worst spell of weather, since the spectacular 2001 Tempest.
Might even have been a small earthquake.

Squeegeemop in use... Indoors.
Sunshine breaking through, yesterday's laundry out on the line.
No rain forecast.
Perhaps I'll manage to fit in one more G&T, at lunchtime?

Came to Suffolk through fog and left 1c in kent at lunchtime. Seems we missed the snow in Kent and Essex and, although very cold...no white stuff here yet!
