Weather Report..................

22 degree high, a light breeze, cloudy, and occasional showers.

(The forcasters sensibly dropped the threat of thunderstorms about 30 minutes ago.) 🌦️ 🌦️ 🌦️

Hot.
Extended weather warnings until the weekend.
35 in the shade.
Full sun 45.
They've set up a 4 night extravaganza on the nearby market field.
Too hot for the stage, sound and lighting riggers to work during the day
They worked the last 2 overnights. Not the quietest of jobs.
So... We've 4 nights of loud music, pyrotechnics, laser effects. Usually until 4am.

So hot at night that we have to have the windows and roof lights open.
So.... We'll just have to go down and join them.
And then siesta like them, 1pm to 5 .
We never had to do that in Yorkshire!

Hot. Gentle breeze from the west.
I won't bore you with the numbers...

So much for planning to dance the night away.
Light supper at 8 pm.
Heads down for an hour, woken by loud sound checks. Usually 2 hours before the night's action starts.
The odd glass of Late bottled Vintage, sitting on the terrace. .

Warm up act came on at 10 pm.
Very quiet.
, Still on at midnight..
So we decided we'd have 40 winks before the main act would wake us.
Next thing we know, it's breakfast time.

It turns out they have these clever speakers, firing down on the dancing space. Confining the loudness there.
We'll have to try a different. strategy now.

Another lovely day, with light westerlies and a 19 degree high.

It must be nice because a spitfire has again passed over our house on his way to waggle it's wings over his mother's place. ⛅ ⛅ ⛅

Great weather for the Spit'.
Brings back memories of us doing a sponsored walk, on a Bank holiday. Three Peaks.

Sweating up Whernside , on the run in to the finish, we heard the growl of a Merlin.
He must have had time to spare, between shows.
Being over open countryside, and seeing 2000+ walkers, snaking below, he turned on the taps and gave us a personal display..
At one stage, he idled down the valley floor, then roared up the hillside, vertically.
Passing almost between my feet.
After 10 minutes , he gave us a victory roll, a wing waggle and headed off to Sunderland.

I wonder if he heard 2000 + knackered walkers screaming and waving 500 feet below.
Ps.
On topic:.

35 degrees.
No breeze.
The sound checks are beginning.

We're really going to attempt to manage the 300m walk down to the extravaganza.

That's a great memory from the hills, Paul. As an ex-climber I well remember planes passing beneath me as they flew down Ogwen from RAF Valley.

However, after a bright start we'll generally have a lovely day with a light breeze, although there's the chance of an odd shower later. ⛅ 🌥️ 🌦️

We are forcast a lovely bright day with a gentle breeze, and 21 degree high. There's the possibility of a light shower in the evening, but at the moment forecasts seem to change very quickly. ☀️ ⛅ ⛅
