And before anyone shouts, its sunny and breezy on Il de Re, but some mixed weather for Thursday and Friday followed by another settled spell into October. Heading towards Arcachon later in the week so we'll see if the weather gurus are correct.

Been raining during the night not now damp underfoot and a very gentle breeze

It's a complete contrast to yesterday afternoon, when I washed the vans exterior in mild weather between the showers. The roof was absolutely filthy, now spotless again.

Today is a mild 17 degrees, but feels cooler due to the strongly gusting winds and heavy showers. It's perfect weather for sowing grass seed, so that's what I'll do.

After overnight rain it's turned into a rather nice bright morning with a gentle SW breeze. There's the slim possibility of a short afternoon shower.

Well that was a first. I've never witnessed the ENO orchestra invited to accept applause standing shoulder to shoulder with the 80 or so singers on stage before. Brilliant!
