Potes is a good stopover to see the Massive Buzzard Vultures, riding the thermals.
You'll need all of your thermals, if you do overnight.
Overcast dry day, peaked at 7° but felt like -1° in the northerly breeze, last few days have certainly allowed the fields to dry a little. Sounds like you are close to needing the smug filter Paul.
