Dry, cloudy with sunny intervals here in Shrewsbury, crept up to 6 degrees now but definitely feeling sub zero with the wind chill .....

It was very breezy and, with the wind chill, not comfortable to stand still outside in Hertfordshire.
So I threw a leg over the Dawes and headed out against the wind to the fair town of Dunstable and then up onto the Downs. (Have I pointed out that that's a misnomer before?).
The view from up here across the lowlands of Bedfordshire is intermittently attractive as the sun peeps out and in from behind the clouds.
But, right now, the most attractive thing about the place is the National Trust coffee:



........ taken indoors!
I'm looking forward to a good few kilometres with a strong wind behind me on the return journey.

Oh, yes please!
I've got the gear required to catch (mainly thanks to Chris) but lack the knowledge and skill to actually deliver the goods.
So a training session with you and Chris would definitely be welcomed.
And it goes without saying that Annie should be there!

Escaped the wind chill and had lunch inside the excellent Shrewsbury market hall, lots of foodie venues on offer, I settled on a Turkish offering of spiced minced lamb on a flatbread with ginger, pomegranite, topped with a salad .........

Overcast and 5 degrees this morning, but set for a dry day today.

Herts awoke to both a thick mist and a thick frost this morning but now the sun is above the horizon, the mist is dispersing and the temperature is rocketing upwards - currently 1°C.
The air is still and is forecast to stay that way until the weekend when the jet stream brings an altogether different weather system to the UK.
