Weather Report..................

It's fabulous near Halifax, bright blue skies, a light southerly breeze, and 23 deg high. โ˜€๏ธโ˜€๏ธโ˜€๏ธ

Oh...!

Have we had fun...?

Yesterday was hot and sunny

When the power cut, we lost the Internet and could get no news, or advice.

Dare not open the fridges and freezers.

We're all electric, supposedly 100% green. The lights went out. The emergency services used to use vhf radio, but it's all on the Internet now.

We have good friends, nearby, with gas cooking.

So we had a faith supper, on their terrace.

We had to take our evening meds, by torchlight.

The lights came on. As we finished.

Today dawned grey, damp and with a cutting N. wind.

Immediately after breakfast, the power went down for 3 hours.

It demonstrates the thin line between modern civilisation and the Stone Age.

๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm neither a clever enough mathematician nor code breaker to have lived and worked at Bletchley Park.

Not home yet, but a few hours driving still to go tomorrow. Just had a pleasant meal in a pub near where we used to live in Cambridgeshire. Feeling full and very happy after a great trip in lovely weather.

โ˜€๏ธโ˜€๏ธ and darkness (still 15 degrees).

May Day celebrations won't be affected by the official weather warnings of rain and Thunderstorms.

Sunny, light cloud, slight SSE. breeze, 18 max.

Looks like I can turn off the Smugfilter for tomorrow and the weekend.
