Cloudy n cool start poss a shower in night looking at roof window....apparently a thunderstorm warning in force for heavy rain today/tomorrow we shall see

Had our passports stamped to enter Yorkshire yesterday to visit the RHS show at Wentworth Woodhouse, grey start and light drizzzle during the morning but cleared later in the afternoon. This morning its a mixed start with sunny intervals but rain forecast this afternoon as we head back to Cheshire.

At last, the much needed rain will arrive some time tonight, and I can't wait.

Steady rain over night and still at it. You can almost see the lawn changing from brown to green. More of the same forecast throughout the day

Dripy started overnight and supposed to ease here by 10 looking at the latest which would be nice as I will be strolling to the local watering hole to watch the Lions get the first win!
Yellow warning in place for thunderstorm's but looks like we will miss it!

Our tired grass has strange cone shaped holes with nothing inside.

Last night at about 3.00am I saw lightning far away in the distance, but nothing overhead and just a bit of drizzle.

Today we'll have continuing light showers, but it's still very warm at 21 degrees. What yellow warning of heavy thunderstorms?
