A day with clear blue skies, a light variable breeze, a very hot 27° and it'll remain somewhat muggy.

Ran to the surgery for an annual review to find I was actually a week early. I'll calm myself down by reading a gifted 1911 Edwardian original of "Tannhauser" illustrated in what can only be described as stunningly beautiful risque images. I can't wait to get to the Venusberg scenes.

Easy Sussex will enjoy a really pleasant day, some low cloud this morning, that'll break up this afternoon and bring plenty of sunshine, with a light NE breeze and 23° high.

One of Europe's biggest free seafront airshows, Eastbourne's Airborne, is not too far south of us, and displays should be unaffected by the weather.
