Fear not, to me summer is a state of mind and long school holidays. It's still August, so it's still summer however hard it may rain somewhere else.

We've yet another dry day, with plenty of sunshine, a light NE breeze, and a pleasant 20°.

It's not a state of mind when the central heating decided last night that it was time to fire up

You are far too clever to have set the central heating to ignite when it's too warm.

I turn mine off every year as early as possible, and "forget" to turn it back on until 'her indoors' complains more than once.....

I might just be getting something right because my utility company have just reduced the standing order, rather a lot.
