Only 17° and the stiff westerley will bring thundery showers as I walk. It should brighten up later.

The showers ended before 10.30am, and I was off out. By great good fortune, it has remained dry and warm for the rest of the day. It was lovely walking in the sun with the sound of the breeze tossing about the shrubs bordering the Royal Military Canal, with a pint to finish.

Roughish crossing last night to Cherbourg, no checks whatsoever at Portsmouth, not even gas. The trip down to La Rochelle was peppered with heavy rain showers and road spray plus a westerly wind gusting to 36mph. Anyway now on Ile de Re where the skies have cleared but still feeling cool in the wind, max today was 22°.

No gales Chris, but a constant 25-35mph here, yesterday afternoon turned out better than the forecast with long sunny spells. Market day today in Ars en Re so will try to time a bike ride between the showers. No hint of blue and a wet day again tomorrow. Mild though at 20°.

The overnight thunderstorms have continued and so I went for an early morning walk. Currently 17°and breezy. It'll turn dry and clear by the end of the day, by when I'll be home again.

We've a lovely bright morning with a moderate southerly and 17° high. From late afternoon, some light showers will develop.

In Odense Denmark at the moment. Having some lovely weather interspersed with short rainshowers. Quite cold at night but very acceptable during the day.
Sat here until Monday, until the garage opens.
The alternator-power steering drivebelt came off after the idler pulley melted and deformed.
