The gentle breeze has veered round to the SW, bringing a damper feel with a 3° high. Today will remain dry, generally bright, but becoming cloudier later, when it'll start to rain. 🌤🌨

Change to SSW here as well, some overnight snow but now sleet, slightly warmer rising to 3° later. No chance of fishing here Chris .

Dry for now and rising to 6 degrees. It was very slippery early on when rain had fallen then frozen.

Woke up to 4 degrees real feel in a strong Northerly.
Had breakfast, then back to a nice warm bed.
No change now.
Nobody's walking outside.
Some poor soul has to go shopping.

We've been housebound for most of the day

Looked beautiful through double glazing.
But only the desperate ventured out.
I was out 15 minutes, dressed in 3 layers from toes to chin.

Demanded mouth to mouth resuscitation.
Was knocked back, for an hour's quarantine.
Looking like more to come.

3 degrees down yere. A NW wind and patchy sun promises us 6 degrees later, with rain coming in this evening.
The rise in temperature should make at least part of the lakes fishable; only downside is I’ll be sharing it with canadas and swans

After a night of heavy rain, it has dawned with a wintry, cloudless sky. It'll remain dry and bright for the rest of the day, with a moderate westerly and 5°high.

PS: As of last night the forecasters told us that Goretti, the first named storm of the year will arrive tomorrow, but that they honestly couldn't say whether it would bring rain or snow.

Some lingering snow on the ground despite a thaw and overnight rain. Breezy (NW) but supposed to be dry with a high of 6°. Goretti is alleged to be bringing snow here, we'll see .

Supposed be a tad wet here in the Midlands tomorrow. Just about to go out and make sure that flood gates are accessible and flood sacks are handy. Might not need them but rather be prepared. Unfortunately not always the day of the rains, it's the runoff the fields that can keep it high.
I console myself that if it happens I'll get a new kitchen.
