The grey gradually faded to blue as the day progressed yesterday here in Wellington and we eventually had some warm sunshine. Last night was clear above the fire pit and we sat and watched the International Space Station pass over us then we had glimpses of Mars.
We're very fortunate people to have these experiences and companionship.

Not sure where the name came from but ‘Scotland’ has been dodging round the field maximising exposure to the rays for a while now. I put a fleece on to empty cassette earlier but didn’t need it at all, was nice and warm here before eight and it’s looking like another great day

Isn't it strange how Keeley and Lottie managed to find the nickname 'Scotland' for someone who was born and bred around London and now lives in Hertfordshire?
Perhaps they'll agree to something more descriptive?
Anyone got a (polite) alternative to 'Scotland' that I could suggest to them?
'Yummy Mummy' seems to be politically acceptable so possibly 'Gorgeous Grandad'?

Well the temperature here has soared to 16 degrees, and it’s even dry at the moment but rain on the way.
