Ed and I had occasional light rain along the Ardèche gorge earlier today but it had stopped completely by the time we had arrived at the free Aire here at St Alexandre overlooking the Rhône Valley and vineyards:



It must be 10°C to 15°C warmer here than it was this morning up in the mountains.
And the local fauna emphasises that:

It might turn wet and nasty where you are. We'd all hate to miss that !
It is supposed to be cloudy, but rain free here, so I set off to walk to the village, pooh poohing Jennies suggestion to wear a raincoat... Halfway there, the heavens opened. Luckily, at 14 degrees, a large brandy was waiting for me at the coffee shop.
