Morning all,
Lovely morning. Sun just breaking up the early mist .
Noisy bunch of sleek Azure Winged Magpies are flying around.
Woodpeckers pecking wood, quietly and a JCB digging a cesspit,half a mile away, across the valley.
We'll walk into the village and try to catch the Mayor's eye about our lane.
No chance of a brandy, with the coffee, this morning.

I dunno !

We turned in last night, expecting 12 hours of unbroken rain ... Not a drop.
The new forecast was for rain until 1 pm...... Not a pitter or even a patter.... Until we were tugging our loaded trolley across Lidl's wide carpark.
Then nothing....... Until we were unloading the van at the bottom of our lane . ( The one that was recently washed away ). 250 uphill metres later, it stopped. , as we were unlocking the front door.
I think God, in His omnipotent wisdom, ...... Uses a different weather website from mine.

Maybe they came here to escape the cold and rain in winter. Must have been tough to survive the 50 degree summers though.

We have pottered over the border into Catalonia and the sun has come too:



The air was noticeably warmer as we dropped down from the coastal Pyrenees into Catalonia.
